Amongst the proliferation of networking groups Get Bizzing believes it is unique in the way that it is organised, in the benefits it delivers for its members and the assurance it gives to members clients who can trust that they are doing business with genuine professionals with proven pedigrees.
Unique? To discuss our USPs and to find out how we can help you as a member or a client please do not hesitate to call us on 01509 277217 or email networking@getbizzing.co.uk to arrange to come along to one of our regular meetings.
OUR VISION
We aim to be a unique and innovative networking group.
We are totally focused on the commercial advice and services required by businesses, and on the professional advice often required by SME owners, (and not on individual consumers seeking a florist or a plumber for example).
Because we are local and run the group ourselves, we are very orientated towards the needs of our members and their current and prospective customers and we can adapt instantly how we operate according to the changing business environment and the progress of the group.
Not being part of a profit-orientated large network, we offer outstanding value for money.
Eventually we will become in effect a full-service business consultancy, a 'one stop shop' - the first port of call for SMEs seeking expert subcontracted help.
Thereby creating many opportunities for our members.
OUR PROCEDURES
The group meets on the first and third Tuesday of each month, at 07.30 and finishing at 09.00.
The venue varies currently between members' premises at Loughborough, Mountsorrel and Watermead Business Park near Syston. A fixed location may be established soon.
Coffee & biscuits are available. There are no other distractions!
The Agenda is:
| 07.30 |
Refreshments & informal networking. |
|---|---|
| 07.45 |
Introduction by our Chairman, Jason Hathaway. Each member states briefly what their aims are, what they have been doing since the last meeting, and how they are interacting with the group. Each member then has the opportunity to outline a problem for the group to offer a solution. A member gives a prepared 10 minutes presentation on their business. Our Secretary Sue Richardson updates us with news and events. '1 to 1's are paired off, with each pair responsible for getting together prior to the next group meeting. Any other business. |
| 09.00 | The meeting ends |
Our Secretary distributes an agreed action plan between each meeting.
Visitors may attend two meetings free of charge.
Thereafter everyone pays a monthly £10 subscription by BACS to our Treasurer Steve Foster.
These funds are banked for events and actions to promote the group, and to pay for the cost of refreshment.
Meetings have the buzz expected of a group named 'Get Bizzing', but can only be as good as those who attend. So to encourage confidential free-speech, only one 'seat' is available for each of our business functions. But that 'seat' may be withdrawn from any member who misses more than 6 of the 24 meetings per annum, and offered instead to a new member.
As subscriptions are paid in advance monthly and not annually, any members can resign with immediate effect if they so wish, without feeling short-changed. Membership is to be mutually beneficial for the group and its members, not financially enforced.
